Halland County
Halland County, or Hallands län, is a County or län the western coast of Sweden. It borders to the counties of Västra Götaland, Jönköping, Kronoberg, Skåne and to the sea of Kattegat.

Hallandia, the historical province Halland, has virtually the same boundaries as the current administrative entity, Halland County. The major exception is the eastern part of the municipality of Hylte, which belonged to the province of Smalandia.
The main aim of the County Administrative Board is to fullfil the goals set in national politics by the Parliament and the Government, to coordinate the interests and promote the development of the county, to establish regional goals and safeguard the due process of law in the handling of each case. The County Administrative Board is nominally a Government Agency headed by a Governor. See List of Halland Governors.
Among the main responsibilities for the Halland County Council or Landstinget Halland are the public health care issues.
The County of Halland inherited its coat of arms from the province of Hallandia. When it is shown with a royal crown it represents the County Administrative Board.Province
