Hair (musical)
Hair is a musical about hippies, written by James Rado & Gerome Ragni (words), Galt MacDermot (music). It premiered off-Broadway on October 17, 1967, and moved to Broadway in 1968.The play caused controversy when it was first staged, and though much publicity was provoked by the Act I finale which included both male and female nudity, this only became a legal issue when the show left New York on tour. (At least three other plays in the same season featured nude scenes of one sort or another).
