Göran Kropp
Swedish adventurer Göran Kropp (November 12, 1966 - September 30, 2002) became famous for his May 23, 1996 ascent of Mount Everest, to which he bicycled all the way from Stockholm, scaled alone without the help of oxygen tanks.In 1972, at the age of 6, his father took him up Galdhøppigen, the highest peak in Norway. In 1993 he became the first Scandinavian atop K2. This time also without oxygen tanks.
