Gilbert de Clare, 3rd Earl of Gloucester

Also known as 'Red' Glibert de Clare, he built Caerphilly Castle for the reasons outlined in that article. He was married to Joan of Acre. He was Lord of Glamorgan from 1263 until the 7th of December 1295, when he died.
