Forty-nine charismatic virtues

Some Christian teachers, namely Bill Gothard and others, claim to have identified a set of forty-nine virtues, organized around the gifts of the Holy Spirit listed in Romans 12:6-8.

However it is not clear from Christian scripture why there should be exactly forty-nine virtues (seven for each of the seven gifts). Neither does there appear to be any clear formal derivation for the actual virtues listed.

The length of the list may reflect a desire for numerical neatness (in that forty-nine is a square number).

The list may after all be simply one teacher's, (probably Bill Gothard's,) sermon outline or Bible study notes, and not a collaboration. Note that love, for instance, has only one definition, while others have 4 or even 5 definitions.
