Fingerboard

Fingerboard (also neck) is a part of most (if not every) string musical instrument. It's a part of it to which strings are pressed. Fingerboard may either have frets on it or be fretless (double bass). If it has frets they can be fixed (guitar, mandoline) or movable (sitar, lute).
