FC Basel (short for Fussball Club Basel) is a Swissfootball club based in Basel. It is currently the most successful soccer club of Switzerland. In 2002 the club got the qualification for the UEFAChampions League, and then one of the best 20 soccer clubs in the world. In 2003 they got the qualification for the UEFA Cup.
