Culture of Georgia

Over its long history Georgia has developed a unique culture. This includes a national epic poem, called The Knight in the Panther Skin in English.

Sport

In 2002 Georgia qualified for the 2003 Rugby Union World Cup after beating Russia in Tbilisi. This was the first time that a Georgian national team had qualified for a major world sporting event since independence from Russia.
