Cornell University

Cornell University is a university in Ithaca, New York and the Land grant university of New York state. The Medical College and the Graduate School of Medical Sciences are in New York City.

Cornell was founded in 1865 by businessman Ezra Cornell and respected scholar Andrew Dickson White, and is not to be confused with Cornell College.

Cornell has 13,725 undergraduates and 6,500 graduate and professional students.

The Johnson Art Museum at Cornell was designed by I. M. Pei. Former professors include Carl Sagan, Norman Malcolm, Vladimir Nabokov, Hans Bethe, and Richard Feynman.

The sports teams are all called "Big Red". They participate in the Ivy League and the ECAC.
