Conures

Conures are the smallest birds of the Parrot type. They are grouped in several genera, all in the subfamily Aratinginae.

Like other parrots, when hatched and hand-fed, they can imprint to humans and become excellent pets. Often playful, mischievous, and affectionate, many bird-owners find these birds very appealing.

• Some writers include the Quaker Parrot in this sub-type, others do not.
