Blaise Compaoré

Blaise Compaoré, born on February 3, 1951 in Ouagadougou, Upper Volta (now Burkina Faso). Burkina Faso politician became president on October 15, 1987 by a bloody coup d'état that killed his predecessor Thomas Sankara.
