Battle of Berlin
In World War II, the Battle of Berlin was the assault on Berlin by forces of the Soviet Union and Poland in April and May 1945. As the Soviet forces fought their way into the centre of Berlin, the German leader Adolf Hitler committed suicide on 30th April 1945.
