Anne of the Thousand Days

Anne of the Thousand Days was an Academy Award-winning movie in 1969, directed by Charles Jarrot about the story of Henry VIII of England and Anne Boleyn. It starred Richard Burton as King Henry VIII and Genevieve Bujold as Anne Boleyn. Irene Papas portrays Catherine of Aragon.

The adaptation is based on a play by Maxwell Anderson

It was nominated for nine Academy Awards and won the award for best costumes.
