Andrew Eldritch

Andrew Eldritch (born Andrew Harvey Taylor) is the leader, singer and only constant member of the British goth-rock outfit The Sisters of Mercy. He also plays guitars and keyboards and programs the band's drum-machine tracks; he performed (self-admittedly badly) on drums on a couple of earlier tracks. Andrew is largely responsible for popularizing the atonal, emotionless, deep vocal style used by many dark-subject-matter bands.

Now in semi-retirement from his musical career (The Sisters of Mercy tour every so often, but no new recorded material has appeared for a very long time), Andrew lives in Germany.
