3G
3G (or 3-G) is short for third-generation wireless telephone technology. The services associated with 3G provide the ability to transfer both voice data (a telephone call) and non-voice data, such as downloading software, exchanging email, and instant messaging.Some standards related to 3G include wideband CDMA (WCDMA - managed by the 3GPP organisation) and CDMA2000.
Countries that have established 3G networks include: Australia, Italy, Hong Kong, Israel, Austria, Romania, the United Kingdom and Sweden.
