Leinster ist die östliche Region Irlands.

Zu dieser Region zählen

• County Meath,
• County Dublin,
• County Wicklow,
• County Wexford,
• County Kilkenny,
• County Carlow,
• County Laois,
• County Offaly,
• County Kildare,
• County Westmeath und
• County Longford.

Insgesamt leben mit 2.105.449 (2002) etwa 55% der irischen Bevölkerung (ohne Nordirland) in der Region Leinster.

Die übrigen Regionen sind Connaught, Munster (Irland) und Ulster.
